The KNIPSER state is family owned since 1850. It is located in the north east
part of Pfalz between Grünstadt and Bad Dürkheim (south
of Frankfurt and west of Mannheim).
The vineyards are located in Laumersheim, Großkarlbach and Dirmstein.
The total vinegrowing area is about 40 ha.
aumersheim has got a long tradition of wine growing. You can find
this mentioned in some old documents in the Lorsch monestary as well
as in a donation from Albulf from 30.III. 769".
The KNIPSER Estate is a member of "VDP - Die Prädikatsweingüter"
since 1993 and also foundation member of Deutsches Barriqueforum.
The KNIPSER Estate has also won the 'German Red Wine Price' presented
by the 'VINUM' magazine several times as well as Winegrower of the Year
1996 presented by the periodical "Der Feinschmecker".
